Dr. Joerg R. Strub

Professor Dr. J. R. Strub received his D.D.S., Dr. Med. Dent. and Dr. Med. Dent. Habil. degrees from the University of Zurich, Switzerland and the Dr. h.c. from the National and Kapodistrian University, Athens, Greece. He has been a visiting professor at dental schools in the USA, Japan, China and Saudi Arabia, and from 1982-1988 he was co-director of the Graduate Program in Periodontal Prosthetics at the University of Zurich. Since 1988 Dr. Strub has been Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany. In 2005 he became Freiburg’s Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.

Dr. Oded Bahat

Practicing and researching dental implant treatment since 1981, Dr. Bahat received his B.D.S. from the University of the Witwatersrand School of Medicine and Dentistry in South Africa in 1977. He earned a specialist certificate in periodontics and an M.S.D. from the University of Washington. Dr. Bahat is one of the few dental surgeons who combine a private practice with scientific research and a teaching career. From 1983 to 1987 he was Chairman and Director of Post Doctorate Periodontics at the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Bahat is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and fellow of the American College of Dentistry.

Dr. Ulf Lekholm

Dr. Lekholm is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a PhD in this subject. Since 1988, he was also a professor of oral implant surgery at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, as well as a past chairman of that University’s oral maxillofacial surgery clinic. As a pioneer in oral implants—he has worked in the field since 1977—Dr. Lekholm was the first chairman of the Brånemark Clinic in Gothenburg (1985-2000). Presently he is retired and a professor emeritus.

Dr. Peter Wöhrle

Dr. Wöhrle graduated cum laude from Harvard University, School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Norman B. Nesbett Award for clinical excellence. After additional years of post-doctoral training at Harvard, he received a Specialty Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Specialty Certificate in Implant Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Wöhrle holds a Master of Medical Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from Harvard, and is a diplomate, American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wöhrle is one of the few dentists in the world with formal training in the inter-related areas of implant surgery, implant prosthodontics and implant laboratory technology.

Dr. Carlo P. Marinello

Trained at the University of Zurich, Dr. Marinello is currently Chairman and Professor at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in the Department of Reconstructive Surgery and Temporomandibular Disorders, Dental School, University of Basel, Switzerland. The author of over 130 refereed papers; in 2003 Dr. Marinello received the Distinguished Lecturer Award from the ACP and in 2012 from the GNYAP. In 2006, 2009 and 2011 the students awarded him as the Teacher of The Year. In 2008 he received by the Pierre Fauchard Academy the Elmer S. Best Memorial Award. He is also the past-president of the American Prosthodontic Society.
